We woke up to the yummy smell of baked apples this morning and a VERY excited big bee! She couldn't wait to try them. I have to confess I checked on them at 4am on a toilet trip! Lol! Couldn't wait till morning! Lol!
They were very very yum! Rather rich I have to say and as I don't normally have much for breakfast it was a bit much for me. Probably do as a dessert next time.
We picked some toms for lunch and we also found a cucumber too! Thought we'd had all of those so was a nice surprise :-)
Bought a few peppers in too, still got loads in there. :-)
Mummy bee made a creative lunch for my bubba bees - a sail boat! Little bee was thrilled! Big bee.. not so! Lol! She doesn't like pepper and was appalled I should use it for her sail. :-/ I keep offering her pepper in hope.
For a long time she's declared that she absolutly hates onion but now in last couple of days has said she now loves it! I think one day she'll change her mind about pepper.
I had a dig around in our stash of schooly bits and found this workbook. After yesterday's enthusiasm I thought I'd try it. She loved it anyway! Done loads. This one seemed a tad young for her, (so far Page 10 anyway) Will have to look for the next age up.
Little bee playing on a shapes app.
After a while we decided to go back outside. While we were playing I put my hand in my pocket and pulled out a couple of acorns. I think from a wood visit a couple of weeks back.
I threw them up in the air for the bees to catch but when they landed they cracked a bit. Big bee wanted to know what was inside so I said I'll open one up to show her. I opened it up, screamed and dropped the acorn. There was only an ALIVE maggot inside! Ewww! It really made me jump! The bees thought it was hilarious and studied it for ages and asked maybe a thousand questions on it. I was just horrified I'd had it in my pocket for a fortnight!! Lol!
After that we found some more acorns from our bucket and the bees wanted to look for more maggots *shudder*. I got a couple of hammers and they enjoyed smashing a few, then a few cookers too!
