This morning we decided last minute to whip off to a carboot, thinking it might be one of the last this season. We only had about 20 minutes there before the heavens opened but I managed to find a few fab bargains in that time.
My first bargain and possibly what I was most excited about was this diddy slow cooker. Its going to be my dessert/side dish slow cooker. After joining a Facebook group on slow cookers I'm seeing some seriously yum desserts and felt i needed to be joining in!
And this was a whole 20p!!! I really thought it wasn't going to work for that price so was so thrilled when it did!
My second bargain, new boots for big bee for the winter. 50p! Yay!
I love how the bees get so excited about going round the carboots. They love looking at everything and are generally pretty good at not wanting everything. Big bee has her purse with a few coins. She often wants to buy something for little bee. Carboots spark so many conversations and questions on a whole range of subjects. Very educational really in a lovely relaxed way.
After the car boot we popped to the supermarket for a few special tea things. We planned to have a treat tea then a movie night with a DVD we picked up at the carboot. The bees picked some fancy posh pasta, hubby a huge family size pizza (for himself!!) and me a huge lush looking steak! Then onto the park for a play.. Just realised at this point my boys are dressed the same! Lol!
Then daddy bee joined in! (Stole my swing, booo!)
Leaves were falling from the trees and the bees were running around trying to catch them, they loved it!
One leaf stuck on a thread of spider web caused great amusement!
Phew, all tired out after a busy morning.. The boys had a snooze while me and big bee decided to try out the slow cooker..
When the boys woke i had a lovely relaxing bath with music and bubbles while my wonderful hubby cooked me this feast! He cooked everyones tea and called me when it was ready. Was an amazing treat to relax in the bath while tea was being cooked. :-) makes me very happy!
(Steak with maple caramelised onions and feta cheese with duck fat roasted potatoes) YUM!
Hubby with his family size pizza, piggy! Lol!
Movie time! Funny little film, big bee giggled a lot through it. It seemed to go down well :-)
Our choc pudding was ready which we enjoyed with our movie. Mmmmm! Yummy! And dairy and gluten free too! :-)
