Chestnut adventures in the woods

A special Sunday breakie this morning, 'full English' :-)
Done in the slow cooker, fab!
Straight onto some picture making. A mermaid picture with lots of things copied from our seashore book.
Some fun on there 'train'
A ride of there 'horsey'. We got several talks from big bee on everything horse! Lol!
Outside for a splash in the puddles and collecting sycamore seeds to throw and spin.
After lunch we headed off to some woods to go chestnut'n! Great fun!
The bees were so excited to find them!
Spotting and watching a squirrel..
They found a den in the woods! They were thrilled!
Little bee tryin to get the chestnuts down by hitting the tree with a stick, lol!
Big bee collected some pretty leaves. She planned to make a picture with them back home.
Some fungi spotting!
Little bee found a hole, 'hole' he kept saying :-)
The finished result. We didn't get masses but enough for now.. :-) we'll go back soon.
Sampling the chestnuts..
A last cuddle with nanny and grandad before they head off on there hols. We'll miss our neighbours!
I don't think the bees quite realise they won't see them for a while now. Nanny said they'd send a postcard which I think they'll love. Just hope it beats them back! Lol!
Have a fab hol nanny and grandad bee! :-)
Our little treat desert tonight. The ghost is frozen mango purée which I wizzed up this morning after the mango didn't get finished. It was rather over ripe and the squishy ness put the bees off. Couldn't waste it so froze it. Worked out fantastically. They loved there special icecream treats!
Plan to do some other fruits/shapes another day. :-)
