Thankful wreath and autumn leaves

Our day started with waffles and hopefully a bit more word recognition.. Daddy bee had a day off work today so think he was pleased he didn't miss out on the waffles.
I picked up some paint chips in homebase the other day in autumnly colours with a view to use our leaf cutter and create a picture with them. I set it all out and invited the bees to come have a look.
They got stuck straight in..
Big bee wanted a tree in her pic with green leaves on it that hadn't yet fallen
Little bee just stuck a few down then disappeared off to play with his dinosaurs.
Big bees finished pic..
After lunch we headed of to a new home ed group we'd been told about. It was held at a church hall the other side of the city.
We were warmly welcomed and recognised a face or two. We went with our friends, it was there first time too. When I first went in I assumed it was just a general social group as there was so many families there. I thought perhaps we'd got the home ed part wrong. We hadn't anyway! They were all home ed families. Was lovely to meet lots of new people. I should think totally there must have been 30 odd children. All simular ages. They were bundling around, playing together. There was a craft activity set up at the side. A 'thankful wreath'. The bees both made one, they loved it. We got to take them home too.
Later in the session, there was a choice of story time in one room or games in another. We decided to stay for the games. They played several different things. The children all having a whale of a time! Lots of fun!
The group was really lovely, so friendly. And only a £1 per child! Its weekly so we can go whenever we like. We probably wouldn't go weekly due to distance and the time of day made it a nightmare to get back because of traffic. But I'm guessing we'll return at some point. :-)
When we got home the bees rushed to see the potato harvester in the field behind our house..
When we went in big bee got busy with her beads, while little bee went back out with daddy to collect some peppers, toms, onions from the poly tunnel for some soup.
Done!
The pepper haul! :-)
Yum!
