Pumpkin and spaghetti squash harvest time!

The bees were feeling a bit better this morning, not completely right as they were both much more tearful today than normal but certainly getting there. First thing though they were full of energy. I heard some giggles in the kitchen and found they had made this game up. They balanced the lilo then pulled it towards them as they ran away, trying not to be 'squashed' by it.
After a fairly restful morning I thought some fresh air was needed so we all got our rainwear on and headed outside. It was very lightly raining, but we didn't let that stop us. The bees actually still had there p.j's on underneath! Lol!
We decided that as most of the pumpkin leaves had died off they weren't going to get any bigger so it was HARVEST time, yay!
Little bee helping with the carrying
Big bee was a bit worried about the muddiness of the pumpkin so tried to hold it with a glove. Then promptly dropped it!
Our haul of pumpkins, we decided to wash them down..
Big bee loved doing this.,
We then lined them up in size order. The bees selected the order.
We then harvested our spaghetti squashes too and lined them up also..
A good crop :-)
Me with my gorgeous little bees
Now to get them to the shed to keep them dry, little bee disappeared and came back with the pram, love his thinking. Big bee then loaded them up!
In there resting place..
Seems a long time ago the bees planted there pumpkin seeds, its been a lovely learning experience for them. Nice for them to see it from start to finish. And of course the next thing will be cooking with them where we'll obviously come across the seeds so it'll be full circle!
So off we go to google some yummy pumpkin recipes!

Big bee wanted to do some painting when we went in.. These are her pictures..
This one she done for me, my fav :-) a ghostie and a pumpkin!
And finally before bed, still creating..
