We decided to do a Halloween inspired activity today seeing as its approaching. I'd seen a painted bottle idea on Pinterest so thought we'd give it a go. I raided the bottle glass bank outside and found 4 perfect bottles. I think the biggest challenge of this activity was getting the labels off! Big bee helped and learnt a valuable lesson of 'slow and steady' with the labels and they come right off. Rush the job and they are a nightmare!
I normally have no concerns about mess as it all wipes up but as today we weren't using washable paints we doned our aprons and put a cloth over the table.
I gave little bee some regular paints (in halloween colours) and he started his own masterpiece.

Little bee wanted to paint something else so I raided the recycling bin and found the perfect alternative. He loved it, asking for another shortly after.

Little bees masterpieces :-)
Adding the facial features..
Finished products! Love them! So simple and effective. We plan to add glow sticks on Halloween :-)
No sooner was this activity cleaned up big bee was describing her next artistic adventure! This was pretty much all dreamt up by her! A rainbow colour theme, she wanted to make a thankful rainbow heart cloud. Adding words to the hearts.
We didn't quite think it through as once the hearts were stuck they were to soggy from the glue to be writing words on them. We agreed we'd do it later. :-)
Very pretty!
All in a days work!
Daisy dog joined us today for the afternoon. She usually lives in her kennel but was barking mad today so I went and got her in for a bit. The bees fussed her up no end, lots of treats and love. Bless her, by tonight she actually looked glad to be going back out again. Her face just said, 'ah crazy children, need a bit of peace!' Lol!
Big bee had a parcel arrive for her today, she was so excited. It was from her little friend T. She'd sent a picture, a couple of little notes and a Hama bead squirrel. She was just over the moon with it and kept looking at it. Straight away as predicted she announced she wanted to send something back!
Started on the Hama beads!
Little bee joined in for about 5 minutes..
