Buns and bonfires

This morning I left the letters out with the magnetic board and it wasn't long before the bees found it. Straight away big bee was writing names. She done the four she always likes to do and then started asking about how to spell nanny and grandad too. Love how curious she is and keen to learn. Little bee slid the letters around and just generally played with them.
I gave them some word cards which are from the Oxford learning tree so feature same characters as the books. They were looked at for a while and we discussed them a but.
A whole hour was then spent colouring, I was really impressed with her persistence to finish this pic and how careful she was being. I was colouring along side and my hand was seriously aching! Little bee joined in for 5 mins and then went and played with the play food. Bringing us 'snacks & drinks' :-)
When little bee fell asleep we decided to do some baking. I Found a dairy free recipe on Pinterest and away we went..
Sprinkling the crumble on..
Oatmeal maple muffins --- mmmmm, absolutly amazing!
This evening we watched daddy bee tend to a bonfire. Just burning a load of rubbish but the bees learnt loads. He took each of them closer to the fire so they could feel the heat and we discussed how fire burns, how you could get burnt if not careful, how to put fire out and everything else inbetween! Lots and lots of questions from big bee. :-)
