A naughty swan

This is a piccy of the caterpillar that daddy bee bought home from work. It was found wandering down the hall way inside so we had no clue what sort of leaves it might like to eat.
We got googling and was struggling to find anything much until I realised we were going down the wrong route, I was looking at a butterfly site and couldn't find anything that looked like this one. As soon as I typed in moth it came up straight away. A bit of disappointment from big bee as she was hoping for a butterfly! Lol! Turns out this particular moth might not be the best for us to hatch as it hibernates all winter before emerging, so tomorrow I think we'll release on a shrub/bush which is apparently what they like.
After lunch we went off out on an adventure. Firstly to dunelm mill for a few bits. Then to pets at home to look at all the animals. The bees really enjoyed that. Great free field trip!! ;-)
Then onto the river, found lots of swans and a few ducks, oh and a couple of pigeons. All was going well and the bees were having a whale of a time. It didn't end well as unfortuantly an over confident swan bit poor big bee on the finger. She was absolutly distraught. :-( I've actually not seen her so upset in a long time. Poor girlie. We 'told the swan off' in the end to calm her down and told them they couldn't have anymore bread as they'd been naughty. A kind passerby also told the swan off! Lol!
The saying, 'don't bite the hand that feeds you' sprung to mind and we talked about it a bit.
After the ducks we popped to another shop and bought some stickers for each of the bees. They were keen to get back and make pictures. They done this while I popped some jacket spuds in the oven. Little bee needed a bit of help peeling but big bee didn't and got stuck in.
Also bought some post its for an idea I'd seen recently. Bit of word recognition every day and also a game sticking labels on things!
