A rather special breakfast this morning as our lollipops were ready (made from fruit purée) and also our homemade granola. Yum yum! All went down very well:-)
Still in our pjs we sliced some pears for the dehydrator. Big bee liked pushing a little round cutter to cut out the cores. :-)
After we finished the pears big bee said she'd like to play with the tiny coloured pasta pieces. I gave her the jar and gave little bee the jar of tiny Pom poms. They each had some bun cases and pots and played coffee shops/tea parties etc..
For lunch I ended up having a mug of chicken broth which I had in the freezer. The bees were itching to have some and when I gave them a little try they went mad for it. I gave them each a little and was telling them how i made it. Big bee wanted more so I said we could make some!
Off to the butchers we went, we looked at all the meat in the displays and answered lots of questions about what was what. I managed to buy a HUGE bag of fresh pork bones for a whole £1 :-) bargain!
We then popped into another shop near the butchers and bought a few bits. Big bee paid in the shop.
We headed home and emptied the bag into my massive pot. There was a trotter amongst the bones! The bees thought it was funny and lots of questions were answered about pigs feet!
This is our haul. The peppers weren't used in the stock, just bought in for a snack.
All in! Still simmering now actually. (9:45pm) am thinking of leaving it on overnight.
Just as we finished tea tonight a friend of daddy bees pulled into the yard. He'd picked up a tractor locally and had arranged to leave it here for a week while transport was being arranged.Little bee was just so so excited! Both bees rushed out to see it.
