Today we went to the library and got some new books and then headed to the park to meet our friends. 4 home ed families and all the children bundled about together despite the near freezing weather! It then started hailing pretty hard so we decided to head back to ours to continue playing. One of our friends went home at that point and we were then joined by another family so still 4 families.
When we got back to ours the boys looked at little bees dinosaur book he got from the library while the girls looked at the tinkerbell one. Was lovely to see the older boys being so good with little bee. F was telling him all about the different dinosaurs.
After lots of running around, playing in tents, playing games, 'Hama' beads were requested. A great request so I got the beads out. One of our friends had to go at this point so there was just enough seats for all the hama beaders. They all really enjoyed doing them. Little bee needed some help and didnt stick at it too long but nice that he gave it a go anyway. The children were all being so lovely, passing colours to the others that needed that colour. Big bee was collecting pink and little bee yellow and they all helped each other beautifully.
A lovely day with friends, the bees enjoyed themselves so much.
After tea we made some choccy mousse for dessert, yum!
After the mousse we spent loads of time reading through our new library books, I read with big bee while daddy read with little bee. Lovely cosy evening all warm, very cold out there now, the gritters went past a while ago! I reckon snows on its way!
