Our day started off with breakfast with daddy bee which was lovely. A mid week day off work for him, though still working at home!
Some drawing happening straight away after breakie..
Big bee wanted a horse drawn so she could colour it in. I obliged with the help of google to copy a pic from.
She then asked how to spell horse and pony and produced the tiniest neatest writing ever! (Excuse my awful horse pic who sadly looks more like he has a dinosaur head!)
I cut out some shapes for little bee to stick on his paper. He's been playing a lot of shape apps lately so I thought we'd go with that theme. :-)
Next, me and big bee looked at the new butterfly sticker book. I picked this up from a charity shop the other day for 25p. Its really good, she enjoyed sticking the stickers in the right places. Lots of info under each one which I read out for her. Some bits more interesting than others.
Later in the day it was back to the pens and paper and big bee totally on her own accord started writing numbers down. So lovely how a relaxed attitude obviously works. She's so keen all the time. I never have to get her to do things, she seems to want to do them on her own. I truly think this is the best way of learning. Nothing forced, learning naturally.
Another wonderful example of this today was my gran and her friend visiting. My grans friend is blind and after we spoke to them and came back we had a really great chat about eyesight and what it means to be blind. I told big bee to shut her eyes and try walking around. She really took it all on board and we also talked about our friends puppy who is blind too. It'll be fab getting to know the little pup. Great life lesson for them.
Then it was time for horse riding! One very excited girlie as usual! She had a fab lesson, rode minty her favourite horse.:-) her rising trott is getting really good now. little bee was particularly vocal in the viewing room. Chatting away. :-) so cute hearing his words pour out..We saw a rather spooked horse today before her lesson. Was very good for us all to see. Such powerful beautiful animals. I think horse riding is a lovely hobby and very good for so many things. Fab excercise too!
Little bee later with his favourite food, raw pepper eaten like an apple! (This is how he 'helps' me cook tea!) lol!
Big bee helping.. She just loves anything to do with cooking.
My happy foodie shot of the day! Sweet and sour Kale crisps and maple almonds! Yum! (Mum I know how many I have in the jar, wink wink! Hehe!) and dad, I know you're rather taken to my green crisps, I'm watching those too! Haha! Xxx
Just before bed, big bee disappeared off to draw a picture for nanny. She then went and posted it under her door, bless her! Fab piccy, so proud. :-)
