Fireworks, quince snow, and craft with nanny

Haven't updated in a few days so here is a mish mash of photos. Not necessarily in order!

Here is a piccy big bee done on the ipad of 3 trees, banana, orange and apple! Thought that was very creative. :-)

Over at hubby's families for a little bonfire/firework party. My gorgeous little nephew B. So cute, and has the most amazing chuckle. :-)

We took the waffle maker and made everyone waffles. I think the bees ate the most! They love them!

Outside watching a few fireworks. Brrrrr, wasn't half cold!

On Sunday we went to a carboot and I picked up this bargain for 50p, 2x paint your own mugs! Perfect Sunday afternoon activity!

Busy concentrating! Little bee done some mug painting as well but didnt last long enough for me to grab a piccy. 

Called in at nans and she showed us this amazing book, not sure how old it is. Nan thinks 100 years or more.. Could be! So so interesting, and really funny. From another time when it comes to the woman's and mans 'place' within the home. Some really interesting recipes though. Great that everything is proper whole foods, no junk just food. Think we could all learn a lot cooking this way again.

Found a recipe for 'quince snow' so naturally had to make it. With a quince tree outside full of fruit I've been trying to find recipes to use them. Not had a lot of luck so was keen to try this.

Only 3 ingredients, quince, egg white, honey.

Interesting, not what I expected. Tasty but very different. Big bee ate hers, and little bee to start with wouldn't try but did later. He loved it. Mind you he eats anything!

Later, some words big bee wanted to write,  spelled out for her as she asked. We've been doing a lot of this lately. Makes me happy how keen she is. :-)

And today, dressed in a snowsuit 2 years too small.. Crafting with nanny while I ran some errands! Thankyou nanny! :-)
