Playdoh and making plastic

Me and big bee played a word game this morning with our biff chip kipper flash cards. 'Word lotto'
We had a couple of games while little bee played on the ipad.
I popped this magnetic clock on our metal board to be found and explored by the bees. Little bee found it first!
Play-doh time!
Guess which bee done this? ;-)
This afternoon the bees were playing so lovely, no arguements, was perfect. Big bee even offered to teach little bee his ABC.. Here they are doing just that.
Next a science experiment! We attempted to make plastic from milk. Was really easy to do with quick results which kept even little bee interested. 1 cup of milk and 1 tbsp of vinegar was all that was needed.
Heat the milk to warm, not boiling..
Add the vinegar off the heat and immediately it separates.
You then strain and squeeze in a sieve and you are left with mouldable air drying plastic!
They loved doing it so much, we did 3 more times!
We tried whole milk, semi skimmed milk x2 and then finally goats. (Goats didnt work but might be because it had been frozen).
We experimented with moulds and these are our finished product. I've put them in the dehydrator to speed up the air drying. Exciting stuff! The bees and myself were pretty amazed at the whole thing.
