Today we had a day at the park with some home ed friends.. Before we went big bee amused herself with some maths pages from her book for a bit while I rushed around assembling picnics and putting our tesco shop away.
We all had a lovely time at the park, we bought our picnics which we ended up eating in the drizzling rain but it didn't seem to matter. The children had a blast, imaginations going wild! They all got on so well and is just so lovely hearing them chat and play. Here they are meeting a new friend, a little cat!
Looking for him in the bushes.
Talking in hushed voices about dragon eggs!
And enjoying our picnic!
When we got home I made some gluten free beer battered onion rings (a big batch to freeze) and then the bees went over to mums next door to have tea there. Leaving me and hubby bee to have a lovely 'date night'. I had a wonderful relaxing bath while hubby cooked the most amazing steak. Coupled with the onion rings it was an amazing meal. You couldn't and wouldn't get it better in a restaurant.
We watched a bit of our breaking bad series and then the bees came back after. They'd had a lovely fish tea and big bee told me how yummy it was. Thankyou nanny and grandad!
