First thing this morning I found big bee helping little bee opening his stickers up that we bought yesterday. He then made two pictures, one for his cousin E and one for his friend F. Both with rhyming names, he's kept saying them over and over!
He was so pleased with them :-)
Meanwle big bee was making her fairy set that she got yesterday. A bit fiddly but she enjoyed doing them with my help.
She named them and went off to play!
Just before lunch we made cookies. I've been wanting to try a cookie recipe for a while and even made some raw choc chunks a few days ago in preparation. Total experiment as wasn't sure how the choc chunks would fare being baked in a cookie.
The recipe was an old tried and tested (maybe 1000 times?! Lol!) but this time we tweaked a bit to make gluten and dairy free. We also used coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.
Daddy bee came in for lunch and helped little bee a tiny bit. Not much though as actually he was doing a grand job!
Choc chunks being added..
Here they are looking fab, feeling hopeful...
Hmmm, the choc melted waaaaay more than normal choc BUT they were amazing! Soooo yum! Big bee declared them the best thing she'd ever tasted. The little monkeys must have thought they were good as they attempted a cookie raid later in the day! (And succeeded!)
After lunch we had a crack at matching up numbers to there number names. Made a bit of a game of it which big bee loved. We made up levels in the game, lots of giggles with a silly robot voice from mumma bee :-)
Little bee done some more tracing drawing until his pen ran out. More white board markers have since been ordered!
Onto her horse/pony activity book..
And later a word memory game. She really enjoyed this and it was fab word practise.
