Hama beads with friends

Some writing practise for little bee and some maths for big bee.
Next the Hama beads came out..
When her friends arrived she introduced the boys to Hama!
I was amazed at big bee today, she was so focused on this, it was a big one and took ages to finish but she did it. She declared that it was for me. :-) it also ended up being gift wrapped with homemade gift wrap she made. :-)
The boys playing trains..
All together (apart from the teensiest bubbas).. They all had a lovely afternoon, as did us mummies. :-)
Chilling before bed tonight. Love these little bees so much. Xxxx

Painting and a hail storm!

This morning my sis and nephew popped round for a bit. Was lovely to see them. :-) miss my little niece though :-(.
Big bee got going with the watercolour paint we made yesterday. They came out lovely. :-) she painted some chicks.
Little bee had a go later this morning, we think his picture is a caterpillar!
We had a plan to go to the park this afternoon but the weather looked so doubtful our friends came here instead. The children all played lovely. A plane got built with the help of an expert builder 'S' ;-)
I failed completely at helping getting the plane built! Lol!
Shortly after there was a huge hailstorm! Thanking our lucky stars we weren't at the park!
The children were all fascinated watching it. Some was bouncing in and they were picking it up and exploring it.
And now it's hailing Pom poms! Lol! Wet ones too! Lol! They all thought it was so funny!

Making cakes, water colour paints, and big bees first hack.

Train set again this morning, a new track layout and more fun and games!
After seeing an idea on Pinterest in which you make watercolour paints from old felt tips that have run out we got to work. A great opportunity to sort out the pens too!
Big bee tested them all and made two piles of working and non working pens.
We then organised the good pens into colours. I'm sure we're both as OCD as each other with things like this!
We broke apart the old pens and removed nibs and ink 'cartridge'. Some brands more fiddly than others!
Poured water in..
After half an hour the colour is really starting to seep into the water..
I couldn't wait and had to try out. Really pleased with results though plan to leave till tomorrow soaking for even stronger results hopefully.
Next we got going on some choccy cupcakes. :-)
Love this, little bee is pouring and big bee is just helping by steadying the bottle for him. Precious.
Finished yummy results!
Off to horse riding! When we got there they asked big bee if she'd like a hack as was a nice day, or stay inside. Big bee initially said inside but after we explained what a hack was she decided on doing that! She loved it. :-) When tucking her into bed tonight she was being so animated about it. She wants to do it again!
We had nanny and grandad (hubby's parents) and great grandad over tonight, nanny came to horse riding and then when we got back we all enjoyed some fish and chips together. A lovely evening! Thank you for the chippys nanny and grandad!

Pom poms and park

A number/word/colour - fine motor skills activity! Enjoyed in different ways by both bees. :-)
Big bee creating patterns..
Back to the train set!
Off to the park to enjoy some sunshine..
Little bee hadn't awoke properly from his nap in the car so we enjoyed a sleepy snuggle on the swing.
Daddy daughter reading time followed shortly after by this! *heart melt*

Moss gardens and grass growing heads!

Bird watching this morning, big bee spotted a blue tit. We think its building a nest. She is convinced it's one of the ones we looked after last summer. I'd love to think it was but I guess that's wishful thinking!
Drawing practise..
Making little puppets.
After lunch we went round our friends..
Love this mid air piccy!
And this one! We always have so much fun round A's house. :-)
The girls climbing trees..
Getting started on our first planned activity, a moss garden..
All busy, working hard at there gardens, they really enjoyed doing this together.
The finished gardens!
Next planned activity is grass heads! Wetting the heads first..
Then sprinkling the seeds in, followed by compost.

Noses done!
All done and now just got to wait for the grass to grow! I think the bees will be so excited when it does grow..
4 little smiley monkeys on top of the play house, gorgeous!
Daddy bee arrived home tonight with a box sent from nanny with this wonderful train set in! I was only thinking about train sets the other day. Perfect! The bees absolutely LOVE it! They were so excited setting up and playing with it. Thank you nanny!
