A fabby bargain at the carboot for just £4 led us to make waffles today. Brand new, never out of box. The bees were so excited, the heart shapes sold it to big bee! Lol!
Here it is!
Here's big bee cracking the eggs
Both having a mix
Our first waffle, slight overspill, a learning curve! Fab though, sooooo easy and it stayed clean. No scrubbing it after, just wiped over and it was done. We found the recipe with googles help and it made 10 of these below!! Maybe slightly more than we needed. So yummy! (And gluten free!) :-)
Another car boot find, 50p! About half the pens I already had but other half came with tub. A little OCD but I love it! Little bee helped with sorting the colours.
Tonight as it was starting to get dark we finally got the new trampolines enclosure sorted. It's been a Working progress as it was originally for our old 11ft trampoline and this is 12ft. (Our old one took flight in a freak gust of wind and landed in a complete wreck) hubby and my dad had to make new poles and fit them and a rip in the fabric had to be mended. My nan came round today and bless her she spent I should think nearly a couple of hours sewing a patch. I'm so so pleased to have it sorted.
Bit of a taunt having a trampoline that the little bees can't go on properly. They are so looking forward to the morning to try it out! Here's me having a sneaky first go, wonderful! Love trampolining!
When I got in the bees still weren't in bed as they'd both had late naps today. Big bee suddenly shouted with glee! There was a butterfly in the house!! We caught it in our bug viewer where we already have snails living. (We took the snails from the poly tunnel yesterday as they were eating my pepper plants!) she was so thrilled, quickly got butterfly cards out to find out the type. A small tortoise shell. Very pretty butterfly. We decided to release in the morning rather than late at night as wondered if it might be a bit damp out there for it.
The bees looking at the snails and how much lettuce they'd eaten.
