Woke this morning with a lovely lay in and as I'd got prepared the night before I had waffle mixture all ready and fruit already chopped and prepared. A very lovely stress free morning! Lots of time to do some colouring. The bees did some stained glass pictures for the window.
Next we headed off to our friend 'L's for a play and a catch up. Had a lovely time, the children all played together really nicely. B is the same age as big bee and is a lovely gentle little chap. They played scalextrix which was great as something really different that my bees have never played before. A game of hungry hippos and some block building and then after noticing they'd gone a bit quiet we found them out in the garden in the paddling pool! Little bee was wet through, big bee and B quickly stripped down and joined in. They were sliding down the slide into the pool having a whale of a time, lots of giggles all round. Little baby B slept through most of our visit, had a lovely cuddle with her. She is absolutly gorgeous. Can't believe she is 4 weeks already. Really enjoyed chatting with L, we don't always get the chance when the big group of us meet up, there is always so much going on! :-)
After we left L's we headed home for a fish and chip tea with my in laws. Hubby bought home the chips on his way home and we all enjoyed a tea together. Mum in law bought a gluten free diam cake round which is one of my favourites. It followed down my egg and chips just perfectly!
Here is the bees proudly showing nanny and grandad there pumpkin patch.
A bit of time for a swing before tea
After tea big bee pulled this maths set out of the drawer while I was in there looking for something else. I'd almost forgotten we had this. She loves it so must remember to do some more of it another day.
Back out in the garden rescuing stray butterfly's that got stuck in the poly tunnel. Big bee loved that this one sat on her hand..
And then on her face!! She thought it was fantastic!
This one sadly had died in the heat in the poly tunnel but big bee loved looking at it anyway.
