Another busy day today.. I left big bee with her build a body kit while I had a shower this morning and when I came back this is the skeleton she'd built. I was pretty impressed! Only a couple of arm bones she'd left out.
I set big bee up a beach play scene and left her with it while I set up something for little bee. At this point I was fairly sure this wasn't something they'd be able to share. I knew that little bee would in big bees eyes, 'mess it up'. She was absolutely amazed when she saw it, and sat in awe just looking at it for ages. I reminded her she could play with it and do whatever she liked as she seemed like she was holding back. She soon got stuck in though was still being extra careful. Bless her!
I set little bee up with the below bits, he was having fun sprinkling the Pom poms. My encouragement etc then bought over big bee who clearly felt she was missing out! Little bee then went to investigate the play scene.
Big bee played for ages with the lolly sticks and Pom poms and then little bee joined back in. She was explaining colours and 'flavours' to him. Very cute to watch!
After lunch my friend E and her little girl M came round for a play. M is 6 months younger than little bee. They all played so nicely. My two in/out paddling pool. Little M was a bit worried about the pool but played alongside throwing things in etc. a bit of aqua draw, lots of playing with ride on cars/tractors. was so lovely seeing them together. Was great to catch up with E too. I've known her I think about 14 years now, (poss more, im struggling to remember!) we met through a mutual friend and have always got on really well. We live about 35 minutes away from each other which unfortuantly stops us seeing as much of each other as we'd like. Lovely though that our children can grow up friends, we were kids really when we first met.
At about 5 hubby came home from work along with 3 little 'friends' he'd bought home 3 ducks for the children to play with. They float on the water and look really realistic! They loved them! Big bee had a mummy duck, and little bee and M had a daddy duck. Big bee really took a shine to it and was caring for it for the rest of the day.
We then all enjoyed a BBQ tea together. Home made sausages and lamb burgers, finished with strawberries and icecream and some 'cookie dough' I made.. Mmmm! Nicely stuffed after that feast.
Such a lovely end to a lovely day. Perfect.
