Busy birthday prep day

Busy day for mummy bee today, happy with what we achieved though. :-)
Can't believe the little lady will be 4 on Friday. 4 years ago I was in hospital for my 2nd night. Rather upset and emotional that i wasn't 'allowed' home and hubby wasn't allowed to stay either. nothing was working with induction. i had 3 days total of induction before things happened! Looking back I wish I'd just gone home! Ah well, all worth the wait. All 19 days of overdueness!
One gorgeous little bundle of giggly mischief!
She was soooo excited at me making her birthday cake and insisted on watching it being made. I was hoping for a surprise element but that's just not our bee, she wants to know everything!

Making a few of her own decorations with the icing..
Ever the chilled out little man, little bee slept for most of the cake making and amused himself for the rest. Bless him! Here with his favourite book!

Bye bye campers!

When we woke this morning the bees were very excited and keen to get outside to see there camping buddies! We spent the morning with them until they left. The children played, had lots more fun, and even found some caterpillers which F and M took home with them.
Bye bye campers!
Big bee kept asking for most of the day, 'why did they have to go?!' Lol!
We all really enjoyed having them here. Was so lovely. :-)
The next project was a birthday card, we decided on a tinkerbell card as the little lady in question loves tinkerbell. We collected together some green craft supplies and we came up with this.
Here are the caterpillers, think I can notice they are getting bigger already!
A bit of tough spot action with a jar full of shells.
Exciting time, first harvest of French beans from the poly tunnel! Never seen something disappear of the bees plates so quick! Big bee requested them to be part of her birthday tea at the weekend. :-)

And another first... The first red tomato!
After our usual evening jobs we washed our caravan over tonight. The bees had a whale of a time and of course ended up totally soaked!

Campsite in the garden!

Wow, busy day.. Started off with waffles again. Becoming a breakfast fav!
The bees found some coins and a cardboard tube and were dropping things through it. This caused amusement for some time. Love the fact they thought of this themselves!
My mum who lives next door was looking after my rather gorgeous little nephew. He joined the bees on the trampoline. Look at his awesome hair! We talked a bit about static briefly as everyone's hair was doing this and everyone was getting shocks too.

This afternoon the bees were very excited as our friends were coming over in there caravan to stay the night! They just bought a caravan and were keen for a trial run so we thought it'd be a giggle for them to come here. Big bee was sooo excited when she saw them pull in!
We had a big joint tea of sausages/burgers/corn on the cob and new potatoes which was lovely. The weather had said we were in for storms but we must have been very lucky as it was perfect weather, a gorgeous afternoon/evening.

Lots of bouncing on the trampoline happening, complete with a tons of giggles and excitement.

A few games of chase/hide and seek/it etc..
Everyone took turns 'walking daisy' or possibly daisy walking them!
We all watered the veggies together, gave daisy some treats and then we started loosing the light so we headed In. The children watched a bit of nemo with some snacks. Was such a lovely evening. No tears, everyone happy even though they must have all been shattered! Had such a lovely time. The bees can't wait to get up in the morning to go play again! Hope the campers manage a good nights sleep..
Night night campers!

A Princess, a pirate and a bunch of caterpillars!

While out in the garden this morning we found a whole load of caterpillers on the stinging nettles. We were all so excited, me possibly more so as it means we don't have to buy any! Lol! We put them in this tank with some stinging nettles and set to google what more we needed to do. Oh and of course I got stung pretty bad! Doh! Apoarently nettles sting through gloves, who knew?!
Here are the princess and pirate ready for there friends birthday party this afternoon.

And a few piccies from the party, we all had a lovely time!

Instead of a party bag our friends kindly gave a wrapped pressie to each family. Here is the present in action!
Fab game! Lots of numbers and adding up scores going on.. Both bees loved throwing the bean bags. I can see this getting used a lot!

Friends, family and fish & chips Friday!

Woke this morning with a lovely lay in and as I'd got prepared the night before I had waffle mixture all ready and fruit already chopped and prepared. A very lovely stress free morning! Lots of time to do some colouring. The bees did some stained glass pictures for the window.

Next we headed off to our friend 'L's for a play and a catch up. Had a lovely time, the children all played together really nicely. B is the same age as big bee and is a lovely gentle little chap. They played scalextrix which was great as something really different that my bees have never played before. A game of hungry hippos and some block building and then after noticing they'd gone a bit quiet we found them out in the garden in the paddling pool! Little bee was wet through, big bee and B quickly stripped down and joined in. They were sliding down the slide into the pool having a whale of a time, lots of giggles all round. Little baby B slept through most of our visit, had a lovely cuddle with her. She is absolutly gorgeous. Can't believe she is 4 weeks already. Really enjoyed chatting with L, we don't always get the chance when the big group of us meet up, there is always so much going on! :-)
After we left L's we headed home for a fish and chip tea with my in laws. Hubby bought home the chips on his way home and we all enjoyed a tea together. Mum in law bought a gluten free diam cake round which is one of my favourites. It followed down my egg and chips just perfectly!
Here is the bees proudly showing nanny and grandad there pumpkin patch.
A bit of time for a swing before tea
After tea big bee pulled this maths set out of the drawer while I was in there looking for something else. I'd almost forgotten we had this. She loves it so must remember to do some more of it another day.
Back out in the garden rescuing stray butterfly's that got stuck in the poly tunnel. Big bee loved that this one sat on her hand..
And then on her face!! She thought it was fantastic!
This one sadly had died in the heat in the poly tunnel but big bee loved looking at it anyway.
Fab Friday!
