Making a splash

Today didn't end up quite as planned but was a lovely day anyway.. We were meant to be going to a tesco 'farm to fork' trail. It was an arranged home ed trip. Unfortunately for unknown reasons tesco cancelled it very late notice so we didn't get to go. It's apparently going to be re-organised for another day so we'll just have to wait.
Anyway, we ended up going round our friends instead. We had a lovely day with them. Within seconds of us being there both my bees had stripped out and were having a whale of a time sliding down the slide into the paddling pool! They loved it!
Because a lot of the day was spent nudey I obviously don't have many photos!
Dried off and making ornaments..
And painting them!
Back home, eggs collected, chickens given lots of cuddles and care, and onto her very important job of weighing them and recording her findings. We always talk about which egg weighs more/less etc.
She then candled them, she loves looking at them under the light!
A small gathering of strawberries from the polytunnel, - perfect supper for the bees! Little bee picked these, he practically squealed with delight as he found them!
