Potions and word games

A bit of alphablocks before breakie..
Outside for some science experiments. We had vinegar and baking powder to mix together to see what happens, and also cornflour and water to make varying consistencies of 'goop'. Also had colours to add to the fun! A bit of colour mixing happening too.
After explaining what was what I sat back and let them explore on there own. Had to practically tie my hands behind my back but I managed to not interfere with any 'suggestions'. They learn so much better like this. :-)
After the 'potion making' (as it turned into!) I used some of the remains and painted some numbers on the tiles for little bee and some words for big bee.
The words I painted i had on tiles. We made a game up which involved picking one out of the tub and then finding its partner. Learning new words as we went.
More alphablocks..
Some wonderful imaginative games from the bees, this was 'parney' the pigeon!
Onto horse riding, wonderful lesson as always. :-)
And finally some lovely daffs mum gave me, these were buds just hours earlier and tonight big bee came through so excitedly to tell me they'd opened!
