Jelly leaves and tree leaves

Big bee has been asking for jelly for a while and I keep meaning to make some. This morning I had a sudden wave of inspiration and we ended up squeezing some little oranges, adding some apple juice and using leaf gelatine to make our jelly. Little bee liked pushing the oranges down to squeeze the juice and big bee snipped up the gelatine. We talked about its origins.
While waiting for it to set we did more hama beads..
Finished jelly! Enjoyed by all, really yum! I won't ever be buying regular 'rowntrees' type jelly again!
After lunch we went outside for a mooch about. Ended up collecting leaves to make a big tree picture.
We talked about the different types of leaves, evergreen etc..
This book was a great one to combine with our craft. Really interesting facts.
When our tree was finished we moved onto painting our salt dough handprints.
They both done an amazing job. :-)
Meanwhile I made up our Christmas Day stuffing (to freeze). Yummy chestnut, bacon, onion, and sausage meat. We sampled with our tea.. Sooooo yum!
