Samphire from Stiffkey

Absolutly wonderful day today spent with my sis and our little families. A bit of a last minute decision, we decided to head to stiffkey to see if we could get some samphire. Sooo yummy! I'm new to it but hubby used to go cockling and samphire picking as a boy.
We mentioned to sis this morning and asked if they'd like to join us.
So off we all headed to stiffkey with our picnics!
Searching for samphire
Found some! A whole bag full in fact, halved with sis as it doesn't keep fresh for long. Can't wait to eat tomorrow with butter... Mmmm, drool!
The bees had lots of fun, jumping rock pools, muddy puddles, up and down little hills, jumping creeks, crossing bridges, fab! We found several crabs and lots of other wildlife.
Then we found a fab spot for some paddling.. The children all LOVED it! Amazing place.
Wasn't quite quick enough to save little bees sock and shorts!
Quick snack!
And back to the car, shattered!
My sis even more shattered as she'd borrowed my sling and carried little baby E everywhere too, aaaand with a dodgy flip flop! Lol! Very proud of the kiddies as we covered a lot of ground and they have much smaller legs!
Were planning to head straight home but Cromer lured us in with promises of chips! Mmm, new potatoes frying. We picked up some chips and all headed up to the pier to eat them. Must have been fate, we found the perfect spot with benches and a table! Perfect!

A totally gorgeous summer evening, with amazing views of the sea all around. An amazing day spent with wonderful company. Feel so blessed. Love you sisaroo! Xxx
