As soon as little bee knew daddy bee was building walls today he was there in a shot! with hard hat and boots too. ;-)
Here he is helping. Big bee actually took the pics of him.
Obviously it wasn't long and big bee wanted to join in too. :-)
After lunch me and big bee left the boys working while we made cakes. She looked online for ideas and eventually settled on princess bun cases. 'Rainbow flavour' cupcakes!
We talked over how to get some natural colours into the cake mixture.
We scrounged some red cabbage from mum, we also had turmeric, beet root powder and cocoa. I had planned on doing a couple more colours but I then remembered we had a dentist app looming so didn't want to run out of time.

The colours weren't as vivid as I'd hoped but think some of it was due to lack of time. I think if I'd have boiled the cabbage longer it might have been better. The pink was nice though.
All done. We quickly grabbed one each to take with us to the dentist (for after, we'd just all cleaned our teeth!)
dentist was fine, though I lost count of the amount of times big bee asked when could she have her rainbow cake? Lol! Funny place to be begging for (what sounded like) sugary treats! Lol! No sugar in them of course but not what it sounded like..
Yum yum! Both bees loved them :-)
