Started off the day with some bingo!
Concentrating hard on her numbers
Some train track building with little bee
Bought a set of 14 of these DVDs at the boot sale. They are fabulous and really capture both bees. Particularly little bee! He was fascinated about all the crabs on Christmas Island! He seemed particularly interested when a train ran a load over ;-) lol!
Big bee wanted to make/sew something so I googled, 'children's sewing projects' and let her browse. She picked this!
Away we went..
We watched this tutorial on YouTube on how to make roses from fabric.
She then made 3 roses. I helped with some hot glue but she rolled/twisted them all herself.
Pinning time!
Big bee helped and done everything she could herself. The only thing she didn't do was the actual sewing. Way to young to be safe yet. That sewing machine needle is not forgiving!
Turning it back from inside out to check the stitching,.
And then some embellishing with jewels!
She is very pleased with her bag. Calling it her book bag!
While she was doing her jewels I made this rice heat bag! Quickie project!
And exciting time today, I advertised online our excess cucumber lemons and arranged a trade with a local cake maker! A Guinness and choc cake and a gluten/dairy free brownie tray in trade for a bag of cucumbers! Very chuffed! Should be doing a trade with someone else too for some home grown parsnips! :-)
Later on little bee helped me with tea..
Pastry making for my beef and ale pastys!
