We had a busy day today. Glad to report that little bee is back fighting fit and eating for England again. I do feel slightly like a ticking time bomb of 'who's next' but I guess time will tell! Lol
First thing this morning big bee got various craft items out and appeared to be teaching little bee 'crafty things'. She helped him make the boxes you see on the table and they glued bits and pieces together.
Next a flash card 'funfair game' with prizes! We worked our way through sounding out some words. There are a few she knows from memory.
Next a funny thing happened, we were talking about 'sheep', not the fluffy variety but as in not having to always fit in with what everyone else is doing. (Being a sheep in a crowd) Being your own person. Sounds a bit deep for a chat with a 4 year old but she knew what I meant. I hate how children grow up trying to follow fashions/trends from a young age because they feel they have to fit in. This is probably more rife with school children but even so I want both bees to know from the start that they are there own person and don't have to do the same as anyone else. Only to do/wear/eat/play with what they want to and most importantly what makes them happy. Anyway after talking about the concept 'sheep' for some time, we opened up one of our boxes and what should we find?? This magic growing sheep! It seemed very apt so we got stuck in.. I explained how we don't touch the chemical bit and talked about the chemical reaction going on. I later heard big bee explaining to little bee all about it. So cute!
Back in the lounge and little bee is happily flipping pancakes! Little chef man!
Big bee wanted to make a menu (while the chef cooked the meals I ordered from her menu)
I wrote down the words which she copied. I then ordered and received a wonderful plastic meal of pizza, broccoli and sweet corn! ;-)
Little bee building a tall tower and then kept knocking it down and rebuilding..
Fairy wings were next on the agenda! They apparently needed lots of glitter to make them magic!
A shopping list game, I had a go then the bees played for a bit. It didnt end all that well as little bee wasn't playing right in big bees eyes :-(
Daddy came home with a box of goodies sent from nanny at the farm, (Thankyou Nanny!)
The little doll socks/shoes a big hit, and the egg moulds will be just right for homemade Easter eggs. I've hidden away for now but I had actually been thinking of buying some so we could avoid the sugar hit at easter! Perfect!
This magnetic set really captured them though and they all had a little magnetic/science lesson with daddy bee!
