Static electricity and choccy dessert

A science lesson on static electricity this morning..
Had a fairly quiet day today as haven't been feeling great, lost my voice! (Think hubby and bees happy!) lol!
Anyway the bees have just got on with stuff today, they've done so well. Played really lovely, resolving there own arguments. Heard several times both bees apologising to each other for something.

Here is little bee Watching a phonics letter DVD.. Loving his choice of attire and snack! (Big bowl of salad leaves!)
Big bee has done lots on her maths app today.. Her choice, I just left her to it!
We made a choccy dessert for tea tonight. 1 avocado, 1 banana, some cacao/cocoa powder and maple syrup! Yum!
Added a sprinkle of raw choc on top.
They loved it!

Surprise end of chemo party for sis

The last few days have been a whirlwind of baking/cleaning/tidying in prep for a surprise lunch I arranged for sis! To celebrate the end of chemo! Yay! She's done so so amazingly, I'm so proud of how she's handled such a genuinely crappy time. She is a star! The journey is not over but at least this leg of it is.. Onwards Clairey! We're with you every step of the way, and beyond. Love you lots sis! Xxxxxxx

Craft session trial

Today was our craft session trial, it worked really well! The children all enjoyed it so much!
The combo of portakabin hall and park outside was perfect. Lots of crafting happening...
All hard at work! There was different crafts on each tables so the children moved freely amongst them.
A table of finished crafts! Fabulous!
Something we made this evening, yummy apricot slices!

Worm homes!

A day with our friends..
Some circuit building...
Wormery making in progress! The nosey chickens had to come see what was going on!
Layering stones/sand/soil/leaves
And finally adding worms we found in compost heap.
The finished worm homes! We look forward to watching the worms work and learning more about them. :-)

Duplo day!

Felt a bit rubbishy today so we had a quiet day and dusted down the duplo.. I printed out some design sheets for the bees to follow. They loved it!

A game of shops..
Knitting/threading!
Some Barbie activities to fill in her magazine. She was on this for ages!

Autumn decorated tree

Finishing the front page of her bird book project.
Random but worthy of a mention. This wonderful lunch was made for me by mum. :-) how lovely to have something made for you. Reminds me I should really make more of an effort to nourish myself as well as my children. I always fix there lunch then forget about mine. No time usually! This was a wonderful treat. :-)
After removing the rest of the crop of peppers we let the chickens loose!
The harvest! I left the green ones on the window sill and amazingly about 3/4 have turned colour! Yay! All been sliced and froze! Thanks gran for tip!
Our salt dough decs were properly dried so the bees threaded them on pipe cleaners and we they assembled the tree!
Beautiful!

Map flags and horse riding

Exciting delivery in the mail this morning.. Our yoyo bear treat tokens we saved up for we sent off for a special map and sticker set. When they get a 'bear treat' they have a card inside all about one country. They then have to find the country's flag sticker and affix to the new map! All good fun!
Doing some of her stickers..
Onto horse riding! Big bee rode solo again today for some of the lesson!
Back from horse riding and little bee got stuck into some woodwork with daddy bee while me and big bee went round our friends to help her as she was feeling really poorly.
Two gorgeous fairies!
