Purple cloaks and mushrooms

Frosty morning, the chickens water had froze so they were glad to see us coming to get them fresh water.
The bees went off exploring the frozen garden. Finding puddles, buckets of water all frozen.
They loved looking at the ice close up. Big bee said it looked like lots of little sticks.
Big bee said she wanted to make a purple cloak and luckily I had some fabric. Little bee wanted to do it too so after measuring and cutting they started decorating.
Trying them out!
Little bee wanted to help me with tea so I gave him a pack of mushrooms which he proceeded to peel, chop and cook. He done the whole thing all on his own. He genuinely was a big help! He was so proud of himself. :-)

Plaster Paris moulds and choccy cake

This morning we opened up a christmas pressie that Father Christmas bought little bee. It was a plaster Paris toy story kit. He also had a dinosaur one which we ended up opening up as we didn't have enought plaster! We moulded 2 toy story figures and 4 dinosaur. All 4 dinosaurs broke as we removed them from the mould! Boooo!
Thankfully the toy story ones survived so they got painted once dry.
All done!
This afternoon big bee said she wanted to make some cake.. We had some left over fruit from breakfast so decided to out it in a choccy cake. Rather random combination but its what the bees wanted to put in!
Cracking eggs..
Measuring milk..
Realising you can pick up a yolk by its 'skin' if you are gentle.
Measuring flour..
And cocoa..
Adding the fruit!
Mixing up..
Ta daaa! All done! Yummy :-)
