Birthday/anniversary/fathers day weekend

On Saturday we popped down to see nanny and grandad bee in there caravan. There was a local carnival going on and a street procession. The bees loved it! Here they are smashing plates.
Sunday we went out to get chicken food, and some other bits. Found an afternoon carboot too which was nice as it was raining Sunday morning so we couldn't go to any.
Happy Father's Day daddy bee! The best daddy and hubby myself and the bees could ever wish for. We love him so much! :-)
Cake making for daddy's birthday!
Happy birthday daddy bee!
And finally happy anniversary! A VERY yummy steak tea.. Mmmmm!

Snow leopard cubs at the zoo

A lovely lovely trip to thrigby with my little munchkins..
We were very excited to learn that the snow leopard has had her cubs! Two little cuties! We feel very lucky we got to see them at just 9 days old. The bees were really chuffed!
Awwwww!
Protective mumma.. When the zoo keeper went past the fencing to feed them she snarled at her and pawed the glass angrily!
Daddy snow leopard just lazing in the sun while mumma is busy with her cubs. They've been separated as the zoo keeper was telling us in the wild the male old leave. He's more likely to attack the cubs if he was in there or the female attack him for daring to go near them. Apparently at a later date they'll be slowly re-introduced.
The bees love the alligators and crocs! We looked at the differences today.
New animals at the zoo.. Meerkats!
Tiger!
Having there dinner!
Love my little bee 'cubs' so much! Gorgeous time in the sun with them!
We'll be returning soon, particularly as we bought daddy bee a pass for his birthday. The bees also picked from the gift shop some 'tiger poo' to go with the pass pressie! (choc raisins) hehe! They thought that was hilarious!
They are so excited to take daddy there!

Strawberry picking and Father's Day card making

I found the bees this morning playing a shopping game together so peacefully. It was lovely. Big bee was explaining to little bee how to play it as they went.
After getting dressed and doing some handwriting/spellings/maths etc we headed off to the local pick your own farm for a spot of strawberry picking. The bees were soooooo excited! They just ran to the strawberries! I was quite proud that they knew a strawberry plant from a distance and knew exactly where to head. :-)

They loved picking them, there wasn't loads there but enough for us!
I printed out a mini beast spotter before we went so while looking for and picking strawbs they also looked out for lots of different insects etc and ticked them off as they spotted them.
And of course, back home for a feast!
Father's Day card making after lunch!
The writing big bee wrote says, 'we love you to the moon and back'
The spaceship has a flap at the back which enables you to move it up and down :-)
Later a play with beebot! This was for little bee really with some letter recognition but big bee helped him with the directions. After they had spelt out RAY they had to direct to the pieces of choc! :-)
And finally a little bump progress! 11,16 and 20 weeks!
Have actually seen my belly move a little now as well as feeling it. Might be 3rd time but still just as amazing!
Feel very lucky and blessed!

Homemade Lemon Curd and Bread

Some sensory play for little bee with lentils!
We made some (cheat) bread. Gluten/dairy/yeast/soya free..
Ready to go in the oven..
What it will (hopefully) look like.
Then we started on some lemon curd. Never made before so quite experimental. Also made with no refined sugar so fingers crossed!
Separating the eggs. We only needed yolks.
Constant whisking!
Mmmmm, all done! Quite proud of ourselves :-) hehe!
I actually didn't care for the lemon curd but the children absolutely love it so that's the main thing. :-)
After school time the bees cousin came over to play. They literally screamed with joy for most the time she was here! Hehe! Love them!
