Strawberry picking from the poly tunnel for breakfast

With there baskets ready we headed to the poly tunnel, stopping quickly to pick up a rogue egg! We have one naughty chicken who flies out everyday despite having her wings clipped. She lays an egg outside our door somewhere there everyday. Unfortunately they are usually cracked or broken as she drops down onto slabs.
Getting down to the important business of strawberry picking!
Mummy has a go while big bee takes pics!
Excuse the 'morning hair' lol!
Very happy with there collection!
Washing...
And eating!! They were delicious! I'm naughty and often have sugar with strawberries but these certainly didn't need any, they were amazing! :-)
Must take them strawberry picking at a farm sometime soon! They'll love it!
We have a farm trip booked for next month with our big group of home edders but think we might have to pop there just for strawbs before!

Bye bye butterflies, and a boat.

Something big bee set up! Lol!
The day of the release of the butterflies!
Big bee was quite sad to see them go, but she understood why they needed too. We kept them a little longer than planned due to the wet weekend.
Bye bye butterfly!
This one took a little encouragement but eventually soared off!
Soon distracted she disappeared with little bee and came back with a boat she'd made! All her idea. Turns out she'd got little bee to drink what was left in carton so she could cut it!
Floating! Love her imagination and creativeness!

Drama, again. :-)

My friend sent me these lovely pics from drama so although I've already done a drama post I thought I'd add these anyway as they are such good pics!

Park play in the sun

Handwriting, number practise and spellings this morning. Later this afternoon we went to the park with a group of friends after they all got out of school. It was amazingly hot! The children all had such a lovely play and I got a catch up with the mummies. A wonderful park which I'd forgotten was there. Will def be returning soon!
One little dare devil..
Two little dare devils!

Drama, friends and cousins

Drama class today.. We haven't been for a while but big bee got stuck back in. She loved it! They do a craft section too, is a lovely group. Little bee was once again doing his 'work' with daddy bee so he didn't join us.
One of daddy bees jobs today was at our friends and of course he had a little helper with him.
He was paid his 'wages' by my lovely friend A. He was so thrilled, talked about it for the rest of the day!
Amongst his 'work' he fitted in a lovely play with his buddies. He came back full of the joys!
Meanwhile my sis, niece and nephew arrived and the fun commenced! Crazy girlies!
We had a lovely fish and chip tea in the evening sunshine. Was lovely!
Here is big bee showing cousin C her butterflies!

Bee bot and butterflies

After some more handwriting etc we started to explore our new educational toy. 'The Bee Bot'.
There are lots of activities this will help the bees with, particularly little bee I think. I've started printing out some letter sheets to go with but haven't assembled yet. The bee bot is a robot that the child programmes to move in certain ways. Fab little thing!
Big bee set up a maze to guide it through..
And.... Finally! The butterflies have emerged! Oooh the excitement from the bees!
We quickly assembled our tent and they both had a turn in with them. Now to find them flowers and sugar water. We'll keep them for a day of two then release.

Handwriting and horse riding

Handwriting practise this morning plus usual number work and some spellings.
After lunch big bee had horse riding, nanny took her today. She came back all excited. More riding with no hands! My little dare devil! No photos unfortunately.
