Pink Party

My little Sis C's pink party today. Her one year anniversary of being diagnosed with breast cancer. She decided to throw a pink party to make the day a happy one. She's thankfully now in remission but has been through hell, and still has an awful lot to deal with. Throughout it all though she's been so positive and such a star. I'm very proud of her! Love you lots sisaroo!
Love this piccy of us both. I actually think we look quite similar here.
My beautiful sis!
And our beautiful (cheeky) children. All in pink for the occasion!
Love them all so much. I do see my niece and nephew like my own really. As my sis does to mine. They are my 3rd/4th children!
Our little chaps!
And here is the whole pink party! A wonderful sunny day to reflect the mood. Unlike a year ago today when it was thunderstorms which of course met the mood that day too.
Here's to lots more sunny happy days! :-)

Choc lollies and crispy cakes

A little bit of party prep before auntie C's pink party. Making some choc lollies, and some crispy cakes.
Little bee decided which ball he wanted to take
Then big bee wrapped her friends pressie for a party the following day to the pink party. She also made her a card.

Balls of iron

With a challenge in mind today we got to work making what I've named them as 'Balls of Iron' lol!
Seems my breathlessness is probably down to iron so in a bid to boost things we talked about iron rich foods etc and best ways for mummy to get lots of iron. And also why I currently don't have much.
Big bee took it all on board. We looked up different foods to see what each ones iron level was and wrote it all down. We then selected the highest foods to make 'balls of iron' from!
Iron maths! Obviously the maths workings out are mine as its complicated maths for a 5 year old but I explained the concepts and I think some went in! We worked out each ball has 2.13mg of iron in them! Fab!
Big ole ball!
And finally done. Really pleased with them.
The bees kept stealing nuts n fruit etc and I asked them if they'd like to make up there own recipe for an energy ball which they eagerly replied, yes!
I didn't help at all, they decided what to put in and done so.
Turned out pretty good! Both bees thrilled and mummy too as it means I won't have to share mine! Hehe!

Light up fairies and butterflies!

Among other things, plus a play date with friends we made these today.
Our own electrical circuit fairies and butterflies!
Little bee meanwhile made a boat to tow behind his pirate ship. :-)
And my massive achievement over the last couple of days: one baby wardrobe full of freshly washed and line dried baby clothes up to age 6 months. Organised into newborn, 0-3 and 3-6. Both boy and girl stuff from the loft as we don't know the sex this time round. (The boxes contain the 3-6 stuff) Phew am shattered! Happy though :-)

Alternative dance class

Dance class today! Bit of a change as our dance teacher didn't turn up.. Our lovely friend D saved the day though and bombed home to get some music then came back and 'taught' the dance class!
Big bee loved it!

Birthday/anniversary/fathers day weekend

On Saturday we popped down to see nanny and grandad bee in there caravan. There was a local carnival going on and a street procession. The bees loved it! Here they are smashing plates.
Sunday we went out to get chicken food, and some other bits. Found an afternoon carboot too which was nice as it was raining Sunday morning so we couldn't go to any.
Happy Father's Day daddy bee! The best daddy and hubby myself and the bees could ever wish for. We love him so much! :-)
Cake making for daddy's birthday!
Happy birthday daddy bee!
And finally happy anniversary! A VERY yummy steak tea.. Mmmmm!

Snow leopard cubs at the zoo

A lovely lovely trip to thrigby with my little munchkins..
We were very excited to learn that the snow leopard has had her cubs! Two little cuties! We feel very lucky we got to see them at just 9 days old. The bees were really chuffed!
Awwwww!
Protective mumma.. When the zoo keeper went past the fencing to feed them she snarled at her and pawed the glass angrily!
Daddy snow leopard just lazing in the sun while mumma is busy with her cubs. They've been separated as the zoo keeper was telling us in the wild the male old leave. He's more likely to attack the cubs if he was in there or the female attack him for daring to go near them. Apparently at a later date they'll be slowly re-introduced.
The bees love the alligators and crocs! We looked at the differences today.
New animals at the zoo.. Meerkats!
Tiger!
Having there dinner!
Love my little bee 'cubs' so much! Gorgeous time in the sun with them!
We'll be returning soon, particularly as we bought daddy bee a pass for his birthday. The bees also picked from the gift shop some 'tiger poo' to go with the pass pressie! (choc raisins) hehe! They thought that was hilarious!
They are so excited to take daddy there!
