Thank you Mr White Cockerels

A few piccies over a couple of days..
This piccy big bee done all on her own, the first I spotted her was at this point. I was amazed at her ideas and imagination. They are pipe cleaners stuck on. She explained how she had to use two for the Y.
A flower bouquet!
We made 30 meals between us for the freezer! 6 varieties. :-) they are 'ready meals' for the slow cooker for busy days. :-) both bees helped.
Done!
A lovely piccy from little bee.. Diggers in the mud!
A spot of gymnastics!
And finally, a little bit of a sensitive subject. We slaughtered our cockerels. I feel a teeny bit weird about it but it would be very hypocritical of me to not eat them and be thankful for there lives. After all I thought nothing of popping chicken breast in those ready meals!
My lovely mother in law kindly plucked/gutted them as I have no clue. The children got to do a bit of plucking too! A good educational experience even if it does seem a bit gruesome. Big bee is quite attached to our chickens so we did ask her before hand and she was totally fine with it.
Thank you mr white cockerels. Xxx

Chicken auction day, and movie night

An exciting day today which the bees were really looking forward too! Chicken auction day!
We were planning on taking in 4 of our cockerels to sell and looking at maybe another couple to buy.
Big bee raided her money box and had set her hopes on finding a 'friend' for her 'grey'. (She wants grey baby chicks!) lol!
Here the bees are settling in our cockerels. Rather sad seeing them go. :-(
There were no suitable 'greys' so instead big bee set her sights on this pair.
She called them zigzag chickens because of there colouring/pattern.
She'd planned to call one zig and one zag! Lol!
Watching the auctioneer at work!
Big bee and daddy are here bidding on zig and zag. (Tiny bit of pink in middle of photo is her arm!)
Unfortunately they were well outbid. Little bit sad but big bee totally understood. Great lesson really.
We did however bid on and win these eggs! :-) both bees (and me) very excited at this!!
Aaaaand we did find 4 new friends to take home. ;-) 4 cuckoo marans!
(The black ones in photo) welcoming them into the family!
We gave 2 broody chickens the eggs so watch this space.....
Fun day! We'd planned a movie night but little bee didn't quite make it!
Just us girlies then! (Daddy bee is fishing)

Flower pictures and a circus

The bees decided they wanted to craft today so after a look on Pinterest they picked out a handprint flower pic to make.
They drew round there hands and cut out. I helped little bee with the fiddly bits. Big bee done hers on her own.
Then it was stalk cutting time. This was more little bees level of cutting. He loved doing it. :-)
Sticking down
Little bee wanted to write his name on the top. (With dots to guide)
All done! Big bee decided on her own to add the words. She gave it to me. :-) love them both so much!
After the flowers... big bee was fiddling about in the kitchen and created this! All on her own.
A 'circus' complete with free standing circus acts! Love her imagination!
(A dancer, a juggler, a horse stunt rider and a chap standing on his head!)

Big bees recipe book

Big bee laid out all this fruit which she had decided she'd like to juice. Making her own recipe!
I wrote down all the words and she looked at them for a time. I then muddled them all up and she put them back in order.
Big bee then wrote the words out..
And cut out and stuck in her 'new recipe book'. The plan was to take a pic of the juice done, print out and stick in her book next to the ingredients.
She also added a pancake recipe that she'd had for breakfast in there. We plan to take a pic next time we have banana and cherry pancakes as we forgot this morning.
The juicing took place at nannies while I popped out to the shop for a few bits I needed.
Nanny took pics, thanks nanny!

Writing, park and horse riding

Little bee practising writing his name this morning!
We went to the park and met the bees cousins C and E. they had a lovely play in the sunshine.
Forgot to take any pictures.
Then back for lunch and off to horse riding..
Doing jumps! (Not great pics!)
